In terms of racing we have been quiet over the last few weeks, however we have nearly all the horses back in some kind of work which means we have still been busy! We welcomed new horse Drogon to the yard a couple weeks ago, he has previously run on the flat and will continue to do this meaning he is our first official flat horse! He’s a lovely character and is fitting into life in Aberdeenshire very well. This also means we are currently at full capacity which is always exciting with plenty of horses hopefully running in the north over the season.

We also welcomed youngest daughter Lucy home after a summer season at Mark Johnston’s yard in Middleham. She will be a great asset as we unfortunately lose a couple members of staff to University this month. Mia and Wikke both have worked incredibly hard for us over their time here, helping to break youngsters and maintain a high level of care for all the horses. We wish them all the best with their studies and would always welcome them back!
