On a very snowy Thursday morning we set off with Lovely Schtuff and Welcome Ben for Musselburgh on Thursday and Doncaster on Friday.
This was Lovely Schtuff’s first run for us in the bumper at Musselburgh. He was quite green but he got the hang of it and managed to finish strongly and was a pleasing 5th.
We then headed on to Doncaster for an overnight stay before Welcome Ben ran on Friday. He was up against some tougher competition this time round and found it quite hot. He ran his usual race, jumping beautifully and ended up finishing in 6th place.
A long journey of 9 hours home but a pleasing trip and a safe return of both horses.
