This week we had Schiehallion Ridge and Kilfinan Bay making their debuts in the divided bumper on the last day of the 2019 Perth Festival. Both of them took it in their stride, this being the first time they’ve been away from the yard since arriving last May. Schiehallion Ridge travelled well until the pace quickened and he couldn’t keep up so faded but it was a learning experience and it is likely he will go on to hurdling quite soon. Kilfinan Bay was the star of the week, he can be quite an anxious horse but was very cool about everything. He ran well and kept on strongly to end up finishing in a close 5th. This was a great first run from him and we were all super pleased with his performance. Both of them have learnt lots and we will be looking to run them both again in the near future.
