A continuation of some fantastic weather here in Aberdeenshire, its not often Jackie can be seen riding out in a t-shirt but for the past few weeks a t-shirt or two have been seen!

Some exciting new prospects purchased at the Goffs sales last week. We have two unnamed three year old geldings, one Mahler X Mighnight Special and one Mountain High X Upton Lodge. Both have settled in nicely and have started the breaking process. Then on the Thursday we purchased Bridane High, a 5 year old who has pointed. He too has settled in well and will be getting going shortly.

We’ve also had a couple of runners this week. We had Amilliontimes at Kelso on Sunday. He found the pace a little quick and therefore wasn’t a content as normal, however he did not give up and did finish the race with some great jumping. He is always one to try but Sunday was not his day, he will hopefully return to the places soon. Then we had Motion To Strike today at Cartmel. He ran a good race and jumped beautifully to end up in a pleasing 3rd, a continuation of near wins for him – he will get there soon we hope!

Its great to have so many of the horses back out and performing well.
