We are delighted to say we are now officially training from Firth Farm, Lilliesleaf in the Scottish Borders. The move took a while with the re-roofing of a shed, new stables and dismantling of previous stabling at Conglass but all the horses have moved and we have now settled into life at Firth.

We have been a bit slow with our social media and website updates but will try to keep them up-to-date a little more now. Its been a large move for us as a family, as we have had horses to move as well as a house full of stuff! However, we have very nearly completed the house move and so are feeling a lot more settled and normality can resume now.

Since the move we have been delighted to have runners at our new local track, Kelso. It now only takes about half an hour to get there – being home before 10pm is such a treat! Being based here will allow us better access to so many Scottish racecourses, as well as Northern tracks. Although we will be sad to lose the title of most northerly trainer, it is a move thats been on our radiar and something we think will benefit our horses a great deal.

Over the summer months we were busy building the yard and constructing the round gallops. We now have 15 boxes, a round sand gallop and lots of grassland that will allow us to provide a varied training programme for each horse. We are hoping to put in an all weather straight gallop in spring 2022.

Since the move, we have also been delighted to purchase two new additions – Clear Ability and Tough Out. Two very exciting prospects for the yard, who have settled in well and hopefully we can get out soon.
