For the past 2 weeks its been a challenge to exercise the horses with rain, frost and snow. Every night the yard has been freezing making it difficult to even take the horse out of the stables to the walker let alone to exercise them. The temperature has been rising through the day, melting the snow but then freezing over the night to leave us with thick ice all over Aberdeenshire. Big effort by everyone, at the yard and on the farm, which means we have managed to get exercise done everyday.
Highland Peak was re-scoped, after a wind operation, and is ready to go back into full work. Motion To Strike has also now come back into full work meaning the yard is in full swing.
On Friday night, both the farm and the yard, had a Christmas night out at Thainstone Mart. Good fun was had by all and some great dance moves were brought out!
