This weekend we had LadyVie and Lucy back in action at Friars Haugh point-to-point. Although the weather was little wet, we had a great day with the pair front running and jumping fantastically to win the NPPA conditions race! Lucy was also the first novice rider past the post so received the Rubstic trophy. This is only Lucy’s second ride back after breaking her ankle in November and this was a massive boost to both her and the rest of the team as we have much needed this feeling of success and a reminder we are doing the right thing! A full team outing, even Rummie the dog, to one of our more ‘local’ pointing tracks and a half way point between us and Lucy who lives near Cheltenham – its safe to say a great day was had by all!
We are also planning on hosting another open morning on 21st April, 10-12. Everyone is welcoming to attend and it will be a great opportunity to let everyone know what we do here. The plan is to watch the horses working up the gallops, parade the horses, let everyone have a look around the facilities and chat to Jackie or Patrick. Please let us know if you would like to come and let all your friends know!
