On the 8th of December, Welcome Ben made his debut over fences at Newcastle in the 2m4f Novice Chase. He learnt a lot and jumped well but unfortunately the course had taken a lot of rain and he wasn’t loving the ground so he subsequently pulled up. We hope to run him again soon. Update 09.11.16

On November 2nd we took Ballinvegga and Highland Peak to Mussellburgh Racecourse. Ballinvegga was running in his first steeplechase but unfortunately, his performance was a bit disappointing. He was jumping slowly and carefully and struggled to keep up . He was just warming to the task when he made a mistake which knocked the stuffing out of him a bit. Jackie Stephen Racing Club

This past Sunday (30th), the Jackie Stephen Racing Club had their first official meeting as a club at Conglass. Those who attended got to meet each other, watch the horse, Motion to Strike, being worked and then after some refreshments the clubs colours were picked by the lucky drawn member, John McAllister.
