On Saturday the 28th October we headed off to Kelso with Mo Rouge. Unfortunately yet again he didn’t enjoy himself. He returned home with a nasty cut on his back leg which resulted in a detour en route home via the Royal Dick Vets in Edinburgh! After a long and windy journey home, he will now have some time to recover from his injury. A great picture by Dennis Penny!

We were delighted with his performance as he was up against some tough competition and managed to keep on for 4th. Micks Wish ran in his second bumper and seemed to settle more and ended up finishing 5th. He is now getting the hang of racing and should be able to progress from…
Yesterday evening we ran Mo Rouge and Micks Wish at Hexham. Mo Rouge returned back to hurdles and was rather disappointing as he didn’t show a lot of interest. Micks Wish ran an enthusiastic race for the first time for the Northern Lights Racing club. He learnt lots and ended up finishing 6th. We are delighted with this performance for his first race under rules.
Yesterday at Perth we ran Highland Peak in a 3m hurdle. This was a step up in trip for him on softer ground than he would have liked. He ran a good race. After staying with the group and he finished up in 7th place. We were happy with his performance as he needs to gain experience and was carrying a stone and a half more in weight than the winner. We were also delighted to see that the Northern…
On Tuesday 1st August we ran Highland Peak and Motion To Strike at Perth racecourse. Highland Peak performed well and stayed on to finish 5th. We are please with this as he is learning and now he will have a handicap we can progress from there. Motion To Strike ran very well and in an exciting finished ended up a close 2nd. This is a massive improvement from him as he was more settled throughout the race and stayed on…
