Battling through the harsh conditions

For the past 2 weeks its been a challenge to exercise the horses with rain, frost and snow. Every night the yard has been freezing making it difficult to even take the horse out of the stables to the walker let alone to exercise them. Musselburgh 31.11.17 and Doncaster 1.12.17

On a very snowy Thursday morning we set off with Lovely Schtuff and Welcome Ben for Musselburgh on Thursday and Doncaster on Friday. This was Lovely Schtuff’s first run for us in the bumper at Musselburgh. He was quite green but he got the hang of it and managed to finish strongly and was a pleasing 5th. Kelso 11th November

On Saturday the 11th we ran Micks Wish, Amilliontimes and Welcome Ben at Kelso. Micks Wish ran in his first hurdle and found the pace quite hot. He jumped nicely and he will hopefully build in confidence from this run. Amilliontimes performed as he always does, jumping well and trying his hardest. Musselburgh 8th November

On Wednesday the 8th we ran Bright Prospect at the first jump meeting back at Musselburgh. He jumped well and ran a good race to finish 2nd. A great result since he as been out of action since April.

Kelso 28th October

On Saturday the 28th October we headed off to Kelso with Mo Rouge. Unfortunately yet again he didn’t enjoy himself. He returned home with a nasty cut on his back leg which resulted in a detour en route home via the Royal Dick Vets in Edinburgh! After a long and windy journey home, he will now have some time to recover from his injury. A great picture by Dennis Penny!
